Sissinghurst: The Gardens & Buildings

In my far away dreaming, I live here. I eat from that magnificent vegetable garden and live the wonder of the Seasons through the gardens. Of course, this dreaming glosses over the harder parts of how life here would really have been lived but that's ok 'cause it's dreaming, right?

Back to the few hours we spent here.
Despite there not being too many other young children about and the possibly disproving looks we received from those older, perhaps quieter and calmer, visitors we continued as young explorers. We picked an apple or two (Again, shhhh, don't tell. Those other visitors did offer a few 'looks' at this one.), searched for fish in the moat, ventured down paths that said 'Private' and rolled, and wrestled, on the perfect lawns. And all on a perfect English Summer day. We might even come back again whilst we're here, in Autumn or Winter to see how it's changed.

I hope that small pieces of this beauty are breathed in by all of us. As although we won't remember each of these moments I hope these colourful, living places tumble into that big bowl of experiences that make us who we are.
